They re-broke Kathryn's arm this morning. We went in for two-week x-rays and the bone that had looked like this two weeks ago:
now looked like this:
They cut off the cast and her arm looked like this:
So they re-broke her arm. They gave her a shot, placed two hands on her arm, and our world exploded:
Oh my goodness..that poor baby...and poor you guys. Is she allright??

Poor Kathryn!! I had a break in 5th grade, same bone, same place--some snot on the playground tripped me while running (and I'm still bitter). My mom picked me up to drive me to the doctor and kept saying, "It's NOT broken!" even though it looked EXACTLY like your drawing of Kathryn's after the cast came off. Good news: totally fine now, works just like the other one. In fact, I'm assured that because of the way bone remodels while healing, that arm is actually STRONGER. Too geeky to make you feel better?? Certainly not useful for sweet Kathryn, but I like a cool fact here and there...

Egad. *Just* a shot? They did the same thing to me when I was 10, and they put me completely out for the procedure. I was sore for days afterwards. She (and you) have my deepest sympathies.

OMG.
I never use initials like that but I had to shorten it so I could get this part in: OH MY GOD!
Your poor Kathryn.
And poor you and poor Kathryn's mom.
I'm ouching for you all!

Loving my kids in the masthead today! How appropriate, as they celebrate the last night of freedom before going back to school...thanks, LD!
As for Kathryn - Enough. Just. Enough. The tide really has to turn...

Holy carp! Will it ever end?! My condolences. I'll have a good stiff drink on you and some strawberry Nesquick on Kathryn. Unless she hates strawberry Nesquick. Then tell me what she likes and I'll raise one of those to her. Jeez... This year has GOT to end.
